The brand-new METRONET Byford Rail Extension is opening soon – and you could be one of the first to ride it!

I’m giving away 50 double passes to ride the first train on the new line on Sunday 12 October – as part of Elevate and Celebrate – a free community event to mark this momentous occasion. 

To be a part of WA’s Public Transport history, simply complete the entry form and finish the following sentence in 25 words or less: “I can’t wait to catch the train from the new Byford Train Station because...”

Key dates

• Entries open: 9:00am (AWST) on 8 September 2025
• Entries close: 5:00pm (AWST) on 19 September 2025
• Winners are notified after 19 September 2025 via email
• The first train rides on Sunday, 12 October 2025

Terms and Conditions

1. The competition runs from 9:00am (AWST) on 8 September to 5:00pm (AWST) on 19 September 2025.
2. Only one entry is allowed per person; any duplicate entries will be removed from the competition.
3. The winners will be notified via email after 19 September 2025
4. Winners must arrange their own transport to Armadale Train Station on Sunday, 12 October 2025.
5. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
6. Entry into the competition implies full acceptance of all conditions of entry.
